Agreed.

Nothing like a 300.

You can launch it without having your Mrs and half a dozen kids & mates
carry you and your boat on their shoulders walking into the water until
you float off, then recovered in the same manner. Which can be a bit
tricky in the waves, every now and then the odd kid drowns. But no
matter, the 300 doesn't get scratched.

Then there's the wobble if the wind blows more than 10 knots problem,
it's extremely irritating once it blows 10 knots and you fall over, waiting
for the said wife , kids and mates to swim out to right you..

Least that's what happens with 300's at our club.

I have to launch the Blaze and recover it on my own.

So what your saying Grumpf is the blaze is the 300 for sailors with no balance or friends!

I suspect a Blaze would soundly beat a 300 regularly down here at bumpy
Hythe.

However I fully accept the reverse would be the case at sunny Draycote.

No Dinghy sailor has either balance (bank or otherwise) or friends.

Only windsurfers have them.

Clearly doing it wrong..

Does it have a 'nose groove'.

One of our blokes has a massive nose and has had to cut a groove in the
deck to get under the boom.

And KY jelly also helps I hear

Do any contender sailors out there have any idea how long the halyard is? Mine has just lost the outer layer where it cleats off.
