If she was listed, I might have to vote for the delectable Ms. Pendleton.

Whilst you're there Victoria, my thrunge gaskets need adjusting...

Just heard a radio interview with Chris Hoy re Sunday's event.

When asked who would he vote for, his answer was that there is only one candidate - Ben! Someone who can get a silver, followed by 3 golds in a very competitive event is something really special

I'm going to vote for Ben Ainslie.

My abiding memory of early mornings in front on the laptop/telly was the contrast between the abandoned light wind Finn medal race where the ruthless streak showed as he went out to do what had to be done to with the eventual medal race where he knew he could win in those conditions and it was up to the others to come out and get him - and ate the end of the 1st beat it was clear no one was going to get near.

Great stuff.

Chris Hoy would be next for being the epitome of power and coming across as a good bloke.
Like some other things - sailing is more enjoyable when you do it with someone else

a quote from the telegraph sport pages. written by kevin garside on the sports person of the year.

Ben ainslie- diego maradonna in a boat? yes, when he sails the hand of god is on the tiller. Ainslie has every trick in the book.

not a bad way of putting it lol. the guy certainly has something about him.

Fingers crossed that all sailors will hit the phone lines and get him in the top 3.

Shame some people see sailing as a posh sport, which of course dinghy sailing isn't. Don't you know!

It made me laugh when iain percy and bart simpson won gold, when the media boat went alongside and asked how he felt he replied somehing along the lines of f-ing brilliant which the guy interviewing had to apologise for. anyway later with an interview with radio 5 he was questioned about his choice of words and he replied "just shows sailing isnt for posh people" . brilliant lol
