Yeah as i noticed at the weekend, starts are definately the best way to get a good position in a race with big, strong fleets!

ye i try and get on the starboard side when i start and time myself going across and see how long it takes and try and get on the right side at the right time and go as fast as i can doging people as i go lol

You should stop on the line at the favoured end about 1 boatlength from it, then accelarate with about 8 secs to go(depending oon the windstrenght), leaning the boat to leward then flattening it to get a pump as you sheet in, which pops you out of the front, if you reach up and down then you'll be on port half the time with no rights over all the boats on starboard, and wont have all that much controll over where you are on the line- but i suppose its ok for speed, and if its a small uncrowded line Edited by Harry44981! |

lol ment to do it quckly or bring ur watch to ur head and i thought u were ment to do thta bt at topper training they said do that i duno what they have taken but ye silly idea i just went on reaches across the line (nice and fast)

Yeah! I noticed everyone was just sat there at one point, just off the line, but that really confused me! I know - I have to be wary when I look at my stopwatch, the last time iI did that in a mini race, I banged straight into another topper, and they weren't best pleased!!! |
