I think that was me at Bala and i seem to remebner coming 2nd in one race and the cherub was nowhere near us down hill NOWHERE NEAR

The modern 14's are much quicker upwind and have an incredable standard at the top end.

But for low cost development class racing I think the Cherub has the edge at the moment. Most of the active boats in the class are like the Kipper and at the nationals you will have plenty of like boats to race against.

How many Penultimates will be at POW?

With a Cherub you are sailng a 50kg boat compared with about 85kg for a Penultimate and that makes a big difference.
If it doesn't break it's too heavy; if it does it wasn't built right

A list which varies for everyone of course. The 14 wouldn't be on mine.

Great classes... for me 505, IC, Int Moth, 12footer, its not actually a long list... The 29er might make the list in a while, the XX won't for sure.

Upwind might be a different story...

Its an awesome feeling when it jumps on the plane and nearly throws you out the back of the boat, also really good for winding up any ISO or RS400 sailors by reeling them in on the downwind legs.

HELL YER! Spot on bud! Thats the reaction you get from a 12ft boat!! I was in cherubs for yearrrrrs - even had a stint in a 49 and int moth, but came to the conclusion, you just cant beat a light weight 12ft boat! Sweet Dreams is a very nice boat and a gorgeous rig! Its always nice to show those SMODs whos boss on the downwind leg - still remember getting thrown off the back of Aqua during a very high acceleration!Soon tamed her. Still gota get my 12ft skiff tunned up now!

Come on lads - join the 12ft REVOLUTION!!!

Cherubs and 12's are the best in the world!

-Many thanks goes out to all of my sponsors.
Ignore my user name, my views are of a 12ft skiff
