I'd try sailing a B14 without the traps first before trying it with - they are difficult boats to sail and would be much harder if you wanted to trapeze.

Plus I don't think the ally stick would take a twin trap without folding soon after.  They do take one but two would be pushing it...

Olly Dave Peacock did say that the B14 was originally a flop over here with the wide wings, so they decided to set the boat up in a more 'British Manner' Ie. Single wire.   You were just to peeved at the time and probably only listened to parts of the conversation between grabbing another beer and being sick!

The original boat had the wide wings as it is sailed now. However it didn't initially sell well in Europe, so after a couple of years they tried a narrow wing single string variant, the B14E, which initially sold better. However once there was a bit of momentum sailors went back to the wide wings and no strings, and the one string alternate died out. In the Souhern hemisphere they never bothered with the one string version.

I should be very suprised indeed if buying an older 14 cost less than buying an older B14 and then putting all the money into converting it. And I doubt there'd be much difference in the ease of sailing.

Blimey that is cheap! Bad timing though. I'm thinking next
season or possibly the following.

Would be a good option though.
