Not had a chance to compare our sheeting to others as yet, so for the time being we're sheeting the jib in fairly hard - not so tight as to put a taught line between tack and clew however. The best bet, I know, will be to get on the water with some others - once we're 'safe to be allowed out' |

Or if you have a blown out jib you will never be able to sheet it tight enough to point without backwinding the main, you can ease the jib cars up a bit if it gets really bad but that in turn makes you're jib less efficient at pointing! In other words get a new jib!

When it is sheeted on so hard that the sail goes out of shape and chokes the slot. Normally prevalent by the luff of the main backwinding up to the top of the jib.
Incorrect prebend can also cause this. |

its not got a wooden deck and a red kite has it? helm name of piatt? in general watch your shins on everything cos a fireball is spiky and dont oversheet the jib. oh and if its windy eat a few pies, you'll need it. |

Forget sailing the boat, first thing to worry about is if you are upsetting anyone who you may already have commitments to.
Jumping ship is a quick way to lose friends. |

Watch your shins on everything it huts (I used to be black and blue are crewing in 11054).
Aside from that enjoy the ride (and perfect the trick of lowering yourself on the trapeze so when it all goes wrong you can step on to the board without even unhooking). Paul |
