ross loose toestraps is part of the problem, you only want to get your toes in really, that way if any thing does go wrong you are thrown out of them! So you need them tight enought to get just a little more then your toes in! |

For Guest#260
When you say he was "hooked in" did you mean hooked into the foot loops or just into the trapeze bail? |

I started tarting up my contender today and I'm keeping my "hose pipe" foot loops, but they are loose.

If you can't carry it, don't sail it! |

If you've got time to worry then you're not sailing hard enough

Bov wrecked his ankle when his trap wire snapped whilst hooked in ... I think it is the injury I worry about most. |

If its Simon Mussell you're refering to, he told me he broke his ankle by falling on to his sail. |

I've only sailed with the footstraps I mentioned a couple of times (on an 800) but I didn't have any problems with them twisting around. If anything they were hard to twist with the velcro undone.

On my mates cherub he has the velcro ones and when he first attched them they kept on slipping so now they are cable tied on so are adjustable but don't slip.
Nothing worse than getting the kite up to find the footloops upside down ![]() |
