I dont think my dad would be agile enough for a RS300.

Paul, i didnt recongise you in your interesting hat. Are there not a few RS200's already at hunts??

I also want my dad to get the RS vareo so that i can give you a run for your money

I couldnt come yesterday because of school (as per norm), but i was down weekend before. 4.7 in light winds, and finn managed to capsize to windward on a reach in force 2/3... How does that boy manage it??

Oli,

There are 2 there, the only one that goes out regularly in the summer is Mike and Nicola.

If he does get a Vareo I wouldn't mind a play....but I still think he should get a Blaze...simple fast and you dont need to be he-man to sail it (you should have a go sometime). Anyway you are quick enough in that 4.7 of yours, don't want you in anything faster!

I just think the vareo would be great fun. Although the traditional hunts courses wouldn't help, as proved by most of the asymetrics.

My dad is still fairly interested in the blaze... how is the class still going?? How did you do in that blaze open?

The class is going great. The new builder has been appointed and has commisioned an initial build of new boats (which I think most if not all have sold).

I was 14th out of 30 at the inlands, about where I had hoped just need to work a bit and get in to the top 10.

Assymetrics were the way to go last Sunday but that is the exception rather than the rule (although Jon W always did well in hs RS200).

Well done.... keep up the pace.

Yeh... and the sunday before that there was a close to perfect course for a asymetric, it was a beat, reach, very deep reach, beat, reach, tight reach. i think the downwind legs went wrong, and they turned into reaches. there were two laser 2k's, and they both did reasonably well (dont quote me there).

Maybe there is a change coming over the club....
