I sustained quite a nasty sailing injury this Saturday, that I thought I might share with you!! Whilst racing downwind, I was leaning against the boom, the boat broaches and the next thing I know I am swmining between the boat and guard rail, think I might have hit the guard rail on the way down!! Anyone else sustained quite a colourful image?? |

Well if I had had a photo of my calves after sailing a firefly the other week that would beat that one on colour. Bruises still there after a week and it wasnt even that windy that day.

Several people who I have crewed for in the FD have complained at me for doing that Hobbo, my reply tends to be. "I have to release the pole during gybes or drops, don't put your face in the way of it!" It is infact a very good game for the crew to try and collect the helm with the pole. The helms have revenge however while trying to poke the crews eyes out with their boat pointing stick. So it all evens out in the end.
