As we've established there isn't a fleet of 4.7s at West Kirby I'm guessing getting a 4.7 for fleet racing is probably not a goer. Get a sail in all your potentials and decide which one you will enjoy sailing as it's gonna be handicap you need to enjoy the boat.

If you're wanting a 4.7 for fleet racing, why not get a Topper- much better and bigger fleet.

If you just want a easy tough boat then you can sail a Pico at 8 stone. Cheap plenty about, simple and few parts to go wrong and very easy to sell. To be honest you are going to be an awful lot heavier for an RS300 even for the A rig. I have had one for years and would suggest 11 stone for the smaller A rig one as a minimum and 13 for the B. If in doubt try one before buying and you will see what I mean
