I recently bought a secondhand Xenon. While it's primarly designed for
racing, it's also fine for taking the family out cruising and more fun than a Wayfarer ;) |

You dont have to use the spinni and trapeze though if your cruising ..

we bought for racing - its got an assymetric spinaker and a trapeze so i
wouldnt have thought it would be any good for crusing

The Xenon is a relatively new boat and most people who buy them will probably want to cruise rather than race so they may not want to discuss too much (or may have no need).
There are also a fair few sailing schools out there that use them I believe. |
