The Xenon is a relatively new boat and most people who buy them will probably want to cruise rather than race so they may not want to discuss too much (or may have no need).

There are also a fair few sailing schools out there that use them I believe.

we bought for racing - its got an assymetric spinaker and a trapeze so i
wouldnt have thought it would be any good for crusing

You dont have to use the spinni and trapeze though if your cruising ..

Unless your cruising and have to make a deadline.

I recently bought a secondhand Xenon. While it's primarly designed for
racing, it's also fine for taking the family out cruising and more fun than a
Wayfarer ;)

..... unless you're out cruising and just want to go fast!

The alternative to racing isn't JUST sitting on a thwart with a thermos y'know

I'm in Chichester - not far from you. I've yet to see another Xenon in the
harbour.

Hi Xenondude,

I sail from Calshot.  2 Xenons at our club, although we have yet to meet each other on the water.  I'm down most Sundays.  Be great to meet.

Regards,

Andrew

Is the trapeze legal for racing? Presumably it affects the PY?

Interesting question. As there's no class association yet, I guess there's no
rule to say whether or not a trapeze can be used for racing - it's an optional
extra.

the trapeze kit is apparently legal for racing as with the omega class
