Water Levels

I was reading the post about rinsing sails and it made me remember something I wanted to find out about but forgot about when I thought of it.

I have read news about the house pipe bans in places but where I sail the the reservoir is almost full and last time I was close enough to the overflow to check the water was only about 1 foot from going over it.  I was wondering if in the areas where housepipe bans are in place people had lower water levels than normal.

This is a conspracy started by the water companies so they can keep charging us the same rates and not supply the same service... and we like mugs take it!!!

Ours is nearly empty but that's becaus there's a hole in the dam. I wouldn't mind but this is the second time, in consecutive years that UU have dropped the level mid season to bugger about with a leak which is alledgedly a simple fix.
