Big boys toys eh... cars and boats seem to have a lot in common, we were talking about this over a few beverages the other night.. compare car culture with dinghy culture...

Cherub - like fitting mad body kit to old-school Vxl Nova and Nitrous Oxide tanks, goes like heck (in bursts), looks good from afar but still a Nova at the end of the day

or

Merlin Rocket - like a Jag XKR8, fast, elegant, very english and driven by lawyers, barristers and accountants!

I think we could have some harmless fun with this one... my favorite was the comparison between Laser and new Mini Cooper - you really wanted one once because they looked like fun but now everyones got one!
Feeling sorry for vegans since it became the latest fad to claim you are one

Perhaps this time round rather than speculating over likley pairings we can name our own choices to see if there is any actual linkage ...

Me ...

Musto Skiff & Honda Civic Type R.

Both light, fast, well engineered and never break even when thrashed ...

Laser 5000 and currently carless  Time for Les to mention his new car.. again!
Isis isn't a 1.6 a bit big for a young male driver? Cost me about £100 a month in insurance to be added to my mum's 1.8 306...

Its silly-big for a first car but surprisingly cheep to insure, was about £1400 when I first got it on a provisional, renewals comming up next month and expecting it to be closer to £1000 this time round

Quinn Direct - their prices reflect their service but its oh-so worth it...

As an ex CTR owner I'm allowed to say this.  Lovely car when new, now driven by ****s.

RS600 and old shape Subaru Impreza -

Quick but not that refined, a bit rough round the edges, makes lots of noise and lots of fuss about it but loads of fun!

Uh, oh, there does seem to be a link, though so far we have only heard from fast boat sailors...Firefly, British Moth and Citroen ZX desiel estate....Hmmm there does seem to be a pattern here!

Or should I have lied to look cool?!

Bit of a sweeping and ignorant response ...
