My crew nearly broke my nose at an open meeting at bala, and had the cheek to tell me off for sailing past the mark!! The fact i was laid out in the back of the (recently purchased) boat clearly didn't matter. |

A friend of mine was whacked over the head with a spinnaker pole by his crew. Sadly they don't sail together anymore. Truth is they are now divorced as well!!!! Ha, ha , ha

The 29er, RS800 and some 14's all the halyard run back to a block on shock cord attached to the back of the boat, it's easy to do in each of them |

The best I heard of was a dutch FD pair who did the Bandol 49er worlds as their 1st sail in a assymetric boat. The 1st tack off the start line that they survived, the helm (unused to trapezing and helming) unclipped in such a way as to re-clip the crew onto the aft trapeze wire. The crew was surprised on reaching the middle of the boat (under the boom) to discover that he was now reclipped - having just unclipped. As the boat capsized, the helm fell back onto the mainsail, landing on top of his crew who was still trying to unclip, on the other side of the mainsail. As the crew finally managed to unclip, the trapeze ring popped up and hit him on the nose. Ow.... They both came out laughing, but I guess that is just 49er sailing...!

If you are in a sindle trap boat and want to get you own back....
Just drop your trailing foot in to the drink the shoot of ice cold water gets the helm straight in the face. He did try beating me with the tiller one day so I kicked him out the boat (literally) he never did it again  .Paul |

If you have a self retriving kite pole and you time it right you can catch the helm right in the middle of the forehead. If the elastic it tight enough it all happens a bit quick for them to see it coming. Of course they can teabag you, but there are things you can do in revenge for that as well.

good one i do it to fly my crew on the wire over tenders on morings. and drop them in by "accadently" dropping the maisheet always a fun one. o the good old tiller extension is good. as i sail a twin string it is easy to bash the crew. shame is with my crew he used to give all that he took so i would get very wet on the wire or suddenly find my trap ajuster drop upwind. all good fun.
