Got the idea from a friend who makes F1 steering wheels-  but these cost a few quid more!

hmmm, very ingenious indeed. I like the way that as you inflate the tube it helps to force any excess resin out of the lay up. Either that or i could just buy an F1 steering wheel and trim to fit...

The spinnaker chute is not part of the hull so not constrained by those particular rules.

Phil's boat illustrated nicely one of the appeals of the Mirror,  although a one design there is enormous scope for personalisation in fit out and some construction elements.

It was great to see such a beautifully presented home built Mirror,  Phil built this boat for his son last year,  and was able to put a competitive race spec boat on the water for £2700,  including a professional spray paint job,  for less than the cost of an 'off the shelf' FRP Mirror.  Significantly this was the first boat Phil has built.

Yes the new all alloy Bermudan rig attracted enormous interest,  and is sure to build on the resurgence in interest we are experiencing within the Mirror class.

I might be sailing it, but it's still sh**e!

The best in show I think has to go to the guy in pinstripe suit and bowler hat. Very very amusing. And stood out a lot being 6' and all.
