what is better is foiling battleships, they could probably keep foiling for a while after you have turned the engines off

Erm... going back a bit but was the basic idea of the thread to tow 2 identical boats (most of the foils are one of 2 manufacturers, and even they are very similar, modern boats are similar weights too) at identical speeds. Release them at identical times on a near-enough identical bit of water and see which one takes the longest to flop back to the wet stuff?

Do I need to keep repeating the word 'Identical' or is this starting to sound silly yet?

At the risk of being flamed for going off-topic, the idea of foiling water skis
sounds rather exciting. Imagine skimming along standing up a foot above
the water!

Didn't someone once try doing it with a windsurfer?

I've seen a bizarre thing with a seat and a foil from underneath but it looked a bit dull compared to proper skiing.

I know it's not really in the spirit of this website but why not dump the rig completely and just see how fast you can tow a moth before it gets totally out of control? Jumping off the wake could be challenging!
