ARGGGGGGGGH!!!!!!!!

   Rick, we purchased 3 new boats last summer, and all of them were within .2kg of each other, and approximately if I recall, .5kg above publicised hull weight. At the same time we weighed a boat which was 18-20 years old, and this was 3kg lighter than the lightest new boat!

	Hey waverider...what boat do u sail down at chew??! As for the moral letmeouttahere, (long name but lovely b.t.w ), I totally agree! I actually used my rachet block with a clicky thing to help the mainsheet stay in place for the first time ever yesterday..and I nearly fell in haha!!! Mind you, it stops your arms from seizing up! Hey waverider, how do I get involved in the wednesday sailing (eve)...is it for the elite class only or can anyone get involved in the races??!

	Mate, ANYONE at all can race on wednesday evening and its a great place to race because it is fairly quiet compared to sunday and there is some very good people but mot are average. I Race a Topper with the fleet (43011) and sometimes bomb about in a fireball. What do you sail there?

	I wouldn't say it was quieter than a sunday... the first wednesday of this year had almost 100 boats for the evening race. had about 35 in the handicap fleet, same again in the laser fleet and about 20 in slow handicap. Was a good race apart from us in a rs800 almost ran a solo down

	I'd love to race but i just don't know where to start cos im so awful I'd probably be disqualified only seconds after the start gun !!! Ah well, I'll just pootle round a bit on sundays and then see if I can widen my social circle down at chew!! The only person who talks to me at the mo is ed!! Well, he's lovely company so I'm not complaining lol!!!

	Who's Ed? Yeah dont worry be confident you wont be disqualified quickly and think does it matter if you come last? Somebody has to come last dont they and if you are only just starting to race it may be you for a few races but then another beginner will come along and you will improve and move higher up the race results!!!! How old are you? I sail a RED (not pink) topper 43011 with a sponsor on the sail so its hard to miss! By the way some people at Chew are very competitive because its a competetive club so dont be put off by people luffing you round the mark the wrong way and loads of calls of 'starboard' , just do your best and eveyone will be encouraging. Your lucky cos the Topper fleet is very friendly . My names Francis by the way.......When you going down next?

	Cheers!!! U sound like a very experienced sailor - thanx sooooooooo much I needed a bit of encouragement lol!!! Nice to meet u francis how old are u??! I'm 14, ( sail no 41825)!!!!! If I spot you I'll give you a very embarrasing cheery wave haha!!!! U're rite about the topper fleet being friendly - I had a really long chat with some random topper sailor when we were out on....er....Sunday, cos we were stuck there for about 20 mins with no wind !!!! Some other poor souls started sinking too, cos they forgot to put the bung in!!! (Not that im laughing or anything...) I'll probably go on the start of half-term cos I'm doin a french exchange!!!
