Aiming for mid fleet club results...crew has never sailed before and not too nimble due to knee problems, so the helm (me) will be the one sitting out!

Bosun is just sooo heavy to pull up the slip - might as well get a wayfarer!

There is only one boat for Portsmouth Harbour with it's Navy connections
- dare I say it.

The Bosun - strong, sturdy, no kite, is heavy so a little bit more won't
matter

Bosuns do have a kite!
Needs to sail more...

Thanks Rupert....Kestral is definately an option if I can get a cheap one. The Marlin looks better than the Enterprise we are currently using but the main problem is I cant find any official measurements for beam and sail area etc to compare with other boats. A Wineglass (if I can find one) could be another option - lighter than a Wayfarer or a Kestral.

Marlin too small. How about a Kestrel, and don't use the spinnaker? Same would go for a Wayfarer, though they do weigh a bit...National 18?

Having sailed lasers, phantoms, solos, streakers etc I am now looking for a non spinnaker 2 sail boat to sail with a novice crew in their 50's. Total crew weight 26 - 30 stone. A wineglass or plastic albacore maybe possible - anyone got any other ideas? Also there is a Marlin on ebay but I cant find any information anywhere about the boat apart from the ebay ad!
