u do when ur settings are right and theres ne form of wind - u can twin wire in anything above a 4! i dnt know what wind u have sailed one in but they are definetly much better in anything above a 4, in light airs they suffer because of their hull weight. which if the class was made development would be changed very soon!
Any one in need of quality carbon fibre work (tillers etc) at decent prices!

Don`t need a second wire??

Love to try sailing downwind in a spice over a 3 with one wire.

i sail it in a 4-5 and i just feel that if you can sail one you can sail a 800 and that is a much beter boat and a lot more exiting

yes but if you are a keen sailor it is worth it but if you sail 1-2 times a year i can see why you go for a spice

You are right the RS800 is a much better boat.

But, boat for money the spice is better.

keep the 800 49er 14 29er get rid of all the rest we keep the best boats we all have fun and we get biger fleets to race in it all makes sense

yer the 800 is a much better boat beacuse of the extra sail area and is much lighter!!

and if it went development, everything else would change too - hull shape, foils shape, rig shape, mast type etc etc.... and it would become an i14 ( ish ) !
