Topper Spice

   Just defending the Spice here, with a decent set of sails and a proper
set up the Spice can be great fun, admitel in ne thing below a three
they are very underpowered, but in a blow they are great fun (not as
fast as the 14 etc) but still a good laugh. they plane quite easily to
windward and are very fun downind, whilst being pretty safe apart from
being nice and nosey on 2 sail reaches!

	they are boring get a rs800 they are much beter

	look at the wind it is about 25-30knots any boat is fun in that even an oppy Edited by 5420

	Well slight exageration there i think, no way is that 25-30 knots, we had that a few weeks back and there are white horses everywhere so it isnt that huge amount of wind i wouldnt of thought and i realise you disagree but i think spice looks qiuite good fun.

	It is fun and that was in about a 4/5!, it also flies downwind, i aint saying its the best but its a brilliant fun boat to learn to twin wire in! The biggest difference between the 14 and the spice is that the spice stands up when u put it in the water!! - i wonder if we cut put the 14 rig on the spice?.........

	Mind you by the looks of ur signature 5420, u sail a 29er which is the same speed as the spice and yet the spice is harder to control as you have to coordinate the helm and crews movements as its a twin wire! It also has more sail area and especially the kite - so hows it boring?

	i have saild a spice and it is to wide a 29er is unstable but a spice is and you do not realy need the second wire

	well you do need the second wire cos it makes it more fun and it has a bit more sail area than its sister so in the strong wind you might strugle!!
