So that's just the two of us then?

I assume you have access to a PC as well then.

Or do you just not bother with long links and images.

Yep I just checked you out, studying photography and looking to do a
masters degree, so you will inevitably need enlightenment.

I used to teach photography if ever you get stuck on anything old school/
need advice, dont suppose you still have to cover traditional stuff.

Advice costs nothing after all..

Was it your head or your harness hook that got itself buried in that 600?

I'm not studying anymore. My course finished in September, I achieved a distinction. I was going to study a masters but have decided getting out there and doing it would be more worthwhile. Yes, I can use medium format and 5x4 cameras with tranny, I'm not a complete digital kid.

I had a Rollieflex 35mm and have a Canon T70. Used to have a Centon K100 too. Ahh I love the smell of the darkroom, but not the smell of sepia toning.

Well done and yes you're right, nothing like experience, and I can see
from your site you're already on your way, some nice stuff, good luck.

Old School?

Er no Canon is lame sorry although an AE1 is nearly respectable.

Old School?
VN Plate camera, no range finder, no exposure metre, judge your
distance and exposure from your head and you got only two plates for
your assignment when I passed my "apprenticeship" there were no Uni
courses back then.
Oh and cap off and cap on for long exposures of big groups with the
shutter set on "B" with a bloody great Flash bulb fired at the end of the
exposure..
Old school enough?

Thats pretty good! I like that.
I use the cap on/off technique quite a bit for night shots. I use all Canon equipment, I have tried Nikon but it just doesn't feel right. Although I do like one of the old Nikon film cameras, FM2 is it?
