Defo... Farr 3.7 for me. I'm 5"3' and slightly heavier (should be about your weight really) and I love the Farr. But at the end of the day it depends on your comitment levels. I don't have to be sailing every weekend to be able to keep the Farr upright when I sail it.
If I was as able to be as committed to sailing as I once was, I would probably look at a Moth. I don't think you can have as much fun with your clothes on in any other boat, if you can spend the time to master it, that is. The Farr comes pretty close though when it gets windy. |

How is a Europe faster than a Radial? The only dinghy that I can think of that is faster than a Radial, and without trapeze, for your weight range is the Int moth. That is a big step.

the europe hull is 15kg lighter than a laser hull, the sail area of a europe is 7.1sqm compared to 5.7 for the radial, but the europe is also very easy to depower and very tuneable. Brilliant boats.
I don't know where you are Joe, but if you're anywhere near Huntingdon/Cambridge I can fix you up with a sail in one. Edited by winging it - 07 Dec 11 at 6:48pm |

lighter, less rag, and brilliant. Agreed, but slower.
