Maybe you could protect it with a nice opaque layer of epoxy and glass to stop it getting damaged!

Would it live in your house as a prized piece of furniture?

I love wooden boats, but I would be terrified to own a Bonezzi for fear of damaging it.
the same, but different...

Those Bonezzi boats are stunning. I saw an all wood varnished Scorpion many years ago, that looked very good as well.

Oh indeed ......

but not so pretty once you've bashed them on the landing stage / beach / a keel boat / someone's racks etc etc.   A labour of love those things.   Even the solo sailors at my place spend hours obsessing over eachothers varnish jobs; and the bonezzis are MUCH prettier boats (especially with a set of blood-axe carbon foils) ....

The Bonezzi contenders are stunning.

I do like the look of the Vortex, but I can only own wooden boats - its a strange condition I've got. Wooden decks and plastic hull I can bear...

You could always buy a nice indestructible Vortex for not much money that will be in "ready to race at the front" condition. Quite a lot have got asymmetrics on now and there a few good 'uns for sale at the moment of both kit and non-kite variety?

Unless it is specifically a contender and in wood that you want?
