Can you keep it at home in the interim, and avoid boat park/berthing fees? Personally, unless you need the cash, I would keep it. I've been sailing the 'ball for the last few years, but held on to the Blaze 'just in case' - cos its a decent example, well sorted etc, probably only worth a couple of grand and yet they've been tough to get hold of 2nd hand. I'm now glad I did, as I'm likely to lose my crew to fatherhood later this year (anyone want a job at the slightly-less-blunt end.....?) so will probably be stepping back into the Blaze. omg, I'm gonna have to hike.... Nessa Lesson Learned - don't reeve the mainsheet through the cleat on the vision, we don't for teaching... on the plus side - You'll be easy to spot at the dinghy show, hang around the bar with soppy eyes to pick up free drinks from forum members and the great news is cardi's are coming back into fashion. Remeber Nessa you are going to need a decent boat for the Worlds at Weymouth in 2011. Is it worth taking the gamble that you will get a decent boat for then. Of course you could have mine for a price and I could get another new Schappi. Do you like blue? And if you could do something about the Euro rate to make the Schappi's more affordable. |
