Its about time Simon came up with a successor to the Slug - its being ridiculously long lived for a Cherub design.

Jim...I think he's thinking about it, however I'm not sure how you'd make it much better really!

MpHarris...I'll find out for you

BNS, very good, however I reckon a bit less rocker and longer chines might improve it's planing abilities somewhat...although looks like it will be good in chop...

I'd like to design and easy to sail boat for an intro to twin wires. Kind of like what the spice should have been.

M_liddell .. You mean Like the spice?

Go try. You never know, you might like it.

May be a dead class, but prices are stable because of it, its cheap to get in, you're bound to get what you paid for it, and they are fun!

It would be unwise to bet on that. The dead SMODs are worth d*** all because there's d*** all demand. Could take you a very long time to sell. With things like that better to figure the money as gone for ever, then if you can get anything back its a bonus.

Yeah the Spice concept but a good boat rather than the piece of junk topper produced. There really isn't a decent alternative. It is quite nice sailing a twin wire boat that won't eat you alive in > 20knts.

M_liddell have you ever sailed a spice? if not then dont you have no rights to dis the boat.

and unlike cherub's it doesnt break every time it is used, and ive had it out in 23knts+ on the sea and survived...
