Has anyone had a go? I downloaded Google sketch up and had a go just for fun. I can't get it to render though :(. Post a picture of yours up!

Made this this afternoon in a few spare hours. Influenced by several cherub designs. "Paterson 7" and "Butt Plug" being the main two. This is the first time I've used a CAD program, let alone designed a hull!
So go easy!

It's difficult to see the design ( ) but you might get the idea...  I can send you the file if you want. You'll have to download Google Sketch up, but its free and only takes a couple of mins.

My future aim is to design a very light, very fast single handed, hiking spinnaker boat.

Can you let me know when you find out how to 'flesh out' the design i've just had a look at it and it seems quite a good little tool, so long as you can get it to add surfaces.

The boat looks pretty cool.  As to your idea i saw someone at our local club tried putting a symettric kite on a non foiling moth, using the wings instead of a kite pole.  Went quite well although he kept binning it on the drops.  Would be interesting to see an assy kite on one.

Not really designed by me, it's a Simon Roberts design, but changed from wings to racks and an I14 style gantry with a little bit of input from me...
