Obviously, the sail is a different issue, but generally if you pay more you will get more gear to maybe two or three sails or reroped boat, but it is always a better boat.

Ah bless, isn't it sweet when you see someone who used to give a sh1t...

It looks to me like he was busying himself pimping asymmetric singlehanders of all persuasions there, and there was me thinking he was just an RS fanboy... he's probably wised up and is now aware such monumental shifts in what goes on at your average sailing club was never likely to happen in such an intransigent sport, well not in his lifetime anyway.

He's probably realised it's best to be a sheep and actually have someone to sail against in a proper race.  Besides you can always get better year on year as the competition relocates to the old folks home for palliative care.

Hello Nick, Yes I did get a 300 and yes it has lived up to my expectations. My one regret is that I'm not a bit bigger and heavier, as I struggle in any winds above 10 or so knots, upwind.

Any other questions please ask away...

I'd suggest you get an RS100, or a Vareo.  Or a Devoti D-One, 700 or Musto Skiff.

Thats the biggest pile of crap I have heard on here for a long time TT.

Why would a boat that needs an extra sail and still get round a course slower (as per 3 of your examples) be better?
