They have a packing piece in the back of the case which is faired flush with the bottom of the hull, much smoother than sail cloth, and the half gasket lasts longer as it does get chewed up by the back of the board.

Why doesn't that Bonezzi boat appear to have a full length
gasket?

sorry...But this means 620 is now back on the market for
anyone interested.

I was being facetious about wrapping the pretty wood in permanent plastic, however it would seem the techology is out there.

All my graphics and foils on my boat are scratched from a harsh edge on my trapeze hook that needs grinding off.

Paul, you should know Nik doesn't let boats in the house....yet...

The trouble with epoxy and glass is that it is a complete bugger to remove if you do damage the boat (as I am finding with the classic fourteen) plus it also then tends to look a little 'plasticised' like some of the Paintcraft jobs I saw at the dinghy show.

The first time I sailed my latest contender I stupidly stuck my hook into the gelcoat.  had that been the wood of a Bonezzi I would have cried.  if any crew falls out of the 14 they either get in very, very carefully or stay in the water!
the same, but different...
