What the heck is this?

only thing I can find back on Vrijbuiter is that is was a centerboard boat allowed to carry maximum 15m² of sail and  that it has nearly vanished as a class today

only few boats have been built after World War 2

I guess it lost out against 16M² class which started in 1931 and has become a very big class in Holland

quite sure the bigger boats are not Rainbows but BM's (aka 16m2)

(in my defence I've been trying to finish a bloody book on dinghy history and design for a while....currently wading through the *&^%$ Moth chapter.....foilers have made it a lot harder).
