As far as I know if you choice 1/4 ton - this boat have a inclination to break a mast. I know one boat and recommend for you. It easy in operate boat. Class - minitonnik and called as NEVA 1"ÍÅÂÀ1" it russian name.

The Hurley will go wherever you want her to go (might not be too comfy though) there has been several Hurley 22 complete circumnavigations!! (Think one was also in the original Ostar (now transat). But for that she is not the fastest boat on the water.

The Achilles is pretty seaworthy too and has either one or 3 keels! There is an owners association on the net and on it there is a report of one guy taking his 24 to the Azores (or canaries I forget exactly but longer that cross channel anyway!)

as for the other 2 they were more aimed at the 1/4ton rating so are considerably faster, arguably more fun but could prove to be more of a handful if you want to go out sailing solo...  

 there should be plenty of info out there, jus go have a look round some examples an see which ones tick your boxes on sight. (an speaking to owners too would be helpfull)

I have sailed a GK24 a few times. they are great little boats, i have not sailed any of the others though!
Needs to sail more...

Take a look around, try and get some time on each of them

Try getting sails on boats that are in your price range, and for sale as well .. so you can check thats boats own "individual" quirks before you buy it.

I have heard good things about all of the mentioned yachts. i have sailed on a GK24 and it was brillaint. As its built by westerly its built to last so a great choice!
