Have to agree with TT on the foils. Amazing pieces of low sales volume technology which must have taken a long time to get them to where they are now. Surprised they aren't more expensive.

I don't play games with toys that expensive. I don't have the money, the talent or the drive. Hats off to those who do, so long as people stop telling us it is the future of sailing.

Germany have just gone out, so all is well with the world. :-)

Surely that's not true till England are out too?

Had to drop the next SIL a line, being the generous sort and as he could soon be part of our family I offered to let him cheer our bunch of millionaire dullards on, they're going to need it when they meet a proper team.

I dunno - there's a guy making a totally mind-blowing product, at a price point that should inspire future generations of entrepreneurs and fabricators to look at dinghy racing for a career path.
It's applied into a niche market at the pinnacle of the sport and will have naff all effect of the club competitiveness of a 15 year old Laser ...
yet we seem to knock it because we either can't afford it, are probably not good enough to even use it or simply don't sail in the circles that would make that sort of competitive advantage pay.
Good luck to him I say....

Chequebook sailing at its worst. Not unlike the America's Cup. Nothing to do with the fact they're mostly AC sailors sailing them...

at a time when a whole bunch of over-paid, underwhelming dullards are booting leather around grass in Russia, I think it's fair to say the very concept of "cheque book sailing" is rather moot by global sporting standards.

Germany have just gone out, so all is well with the world. :-)

Yep, meeting a German colleague tomorrow... it’s going to be an expensive bar tab

Given that a significant proportion of sales probably go abroad, and out of the EU, then displaying Ex-VAT prices makes sense...
