But if pressed you might have to admit that the petrol money to go and pick them up would be quite substantial... |

Oh, well, if we aren't worried about actually having to sail or be at a location with it except in our heads, then for me it would be an A Class Cat off a very large lake in Europe, a Swift Solo somewhere nice in America, a windsurfer Robbie Naish style in Hawaii, or (and this one it is only the location that is the problem) a Sunfish parked on the beach next to the Hobie cat by a beach bar in Barbados.
Ah, that all sounds better than a small gravel pit in Wiltshire... though actually, the Lightning would be nice in those locations, too - apart from on Jaws with Robbie, of course! |

I think this post is going to cost me, it has reminded me about Classic International 14s, my favourite was my 1976 Opus II, a really beautiful cold moulded Charlie Bullock design that I used to sail with Vicky. Anybody got a set of drawings?

well they've already got a bloke on the ground at the * I must not to use the term 'world' when referring to RS sailing, RS events etc until such time as there is an IJ on station to clarify the class rules. 'Global', 'Glow Ball' or even 'Goebbels' would be more acceptable nomenclature ![]() |

Just seen on your sig that your boat is a Vareo. Why is that no good as a fun boat?!

A bunch of lowrider Moth sailors use the cvrda forum to communicate - everything from 1960 is Europa Moths to Magnum 9.9's. Their aim is to get together and have fun at some point soon.
As for the question, many of the boats suggested are hard to sail - an hour once in a while would be spent swimming. So, it needs to be simple to sail, but with the sensation of speed, unless you are already used to boats that fall over if you let go. This is where GRF got to before designing the VTwin, isn't it?! How about a Catapult - that way it can live in bags when you aren't using it, then blow it up and away you go! |
