The Germans are taking over.

by Jessica Statham on 26 Oct 2000
With six races completed and three races left, the 2.4mR class looks open to five medal condenters.

Philippe Balle (FRA) and Australia's Peter Thompson are on a parallel run both with 19 points. Germany's Heiko Kroeger (GER) is an obvious medal favorite with 3 wins and only three points separating him from second position holder Jens Als Anderson (DEN).

Competitors complete 9 races and then choose their worst two results. Thompson has had one disqualification and cannot afford not to be in the top of the fleet for the last three races.

Thomas Brown (USA) is sitting in third position with 17 points followed by Australia with 19 points.
