Soling Cristal Darques Womens Challenge in Manly

Members of Manly Yacht Club have donated 5 Solings. We have invited 5 top skippers and crews to compete in a 6 race sprint series that will be sailed in
Manly Cove.

The girls are Jenny Armstrong (470 Gold Medalist). Her crew will be two girls (Tanya Ebeling and Sue Rice) from Manly Yacht Club. She has never met them before.

Sue Walters, Alex Murray (from Pittwater), Lindsey Marwood (coach at the youth academy at the CYC and Genevieve White, Europe dinghy
champion....all fabulous skippers. We will be matching girls to boats by drawing names out of a hat.

We are aiming to make this an annual event and next year we will possibly be hosting the Ynglings, the baby to the soling. This will be the Women's keel boat
class in the Olympics.

Sunday 18 TH MARCH will feature 4 divisions as usual but this year we also have a fleet of Mistrals competing. Heather Riley is campaigning for the next
Olympics and has organized some girls to take on the Women's challenge.

The Manly Juniors will also be competing in two divisions therefor catering for all levels of experience.
