West Riding Sailing Club raises £3000 at the Dinghy Show

The members of West Riding Sailing Club would like to thank all those who visited the RS Racing stand at the Dinghy Sailing Show and bought tickets in aid of the WRSC Fire Fund. The fund was set up to raise £80,000 towards the rebuild of their clubhouse destroyed in an arson attack last year.
RS Racing generously allowed club members to use the stand as a base from which to sell tickets. Over the weekend the team raised exactly £3000.
This marks the launch of the West Riding SC Rebuild Prize Draw with a first prize of a brand new RS200, with additional prizes from Crewsaver, Henri Lloyd, Laser Centre, Musto, Regatta, Rooster Sailing, RYA and Yachts & Yachting. The draw will be made on 29th May 2006, at the prize giving of WRSC’s Open Spring Bank Regatta.
By now all major sailing clubs in the UK will have received letters inviting them to make a donation to the Fire Fund in exchange for tickets for the Prize Draw. This will enable clubs to recoup their donation by selling tickets to their membership, giving them the opportunity to win one of the fabulous prizes.
West Riding Sailing Club is delighted at the response from the sailing community; already the first donations have been received from sailing clubs.
