Last weekend's spectacular Supermoon delivered perfect conditions of a double high tide, brilliant sunshine and 15-18 knots easterly winds, for race 7 of the LTSC Late Summer Points series.

For the first race, a long course delivered some great racing for the competitors. In the Fast fleet Richard Keeton in his RS700 won on the water, however, it was Geoff Havers and Abby Keightley-Hanson in their 29er who took the win, after some great downwind sailing. However the Contender of David Gautier was close behind and won the race on corrected time from Rob and Jan Martin in their RS400 with Geoff and Abby finishing third.

In the Medium fleet, series leaders Richard Russell and Sylvia Weger in their Tasar capsized just after the start, leaving the RS Aero 9 of Peter Barton to take the win followed by Simon White in his RS Aero 7. Olivia Burt finishing third in her Laser Radial.

For the second race, the race officer set a shorter upwind leg, followed by a downwind slalom to take advantage of the superb conditions. In the Fast Fleet, Geoff Havers and Abby Keightley-Hanson built a good lead on the water, to take the win from Matthew Thomas and Steve Nicholas in their RS400. The medium fleet saw Peter Barton (RS Aero 9) win again, closely followed by Richard Russell and Sylvia Weger in the Tasar. John Claridge and Claire Sleigh finishing third.

Following a good morning's racing last weekend the final results for the series are...

Series A - Fast Fleet:

1st Rob & Jan Martin (RS400, 8 pts)
2nd Geoff Havers & Jo Barriball (29er, 14 pts)
