No it's not a F1 car or an I14... it's a UK Cherub

After her final primer clad test sails 'Primal Scream' has now received her war paint, an eye catching purple.

Built by DL Boats and now offered as a Kit Cherub or an off the shelf boat, the 'Easy One' design is set to fire up the UK Cherub class. This is what Phil Alderson had to say after one of his early test sails:

"The Rig is bigger and more powerful but what it means is that you can really use that second string. I need a lot of practice on the manoeuvres and you have to respect the rig as it can overpower you in a way that the old rig could not do until it was getting to the point where racing was cancelled.

In a straight line you can de power the rig to a level that is comfortable and the power transition seems more gradual than the off-on you got with the 12.5 rig so the whole thing seems eisier.

Downwind... WOW! I need some toe loops. It is fast, it is bouncy and it is fun.

I have got slightly bigger ratchets and slightly bigger kite sheets on the boat but in general the loads on the spinnaker sheets are no worse than the old smaller kite, which is great news for Carol."

DL Boats have just finalised there UK Cherub Kit price list for the 'Easy One' design, so it has never been easier to get your heart racing.
