The Mirrors were celebrating their 50th birthday at the RYA Dinghy Show in style. There were Mirrors everywhere, with eight Mirrors down the west corridor, two Mirrors in the palm court, one Mirror on the Volvo sailing stand and one on the Mirror Class Association stand.
Tim Harper building a Mirror from a kit to show how easy it is to do and David Henshall's wonderful talk about the history of the Mirror, combined with 72 adults and children of the class wearing the distinctive red birthday t-shirts, it was hard to miss. Even the family of the designer of the class Barry Bucknell came to join us.
Our thanks go to Sarah Richards, the class secretary and all who helped her make the show so good.
If you entered the competition for the Jeckells jacket and bag keep an eye on your emails.
If you have sailed a Mirror why not come and join in our 50th Birthday weekend at Northampton Sailing Club on 13th and 14th of July.
