Flying Fifteens at the RYA Volvo Dinghy Show

by Richard Jones 29 Feb 2012 06:31 GMT Stand B56, 3-4 March 2012

The Flying Fifteen is an exhilarating, two person 6m planning Keelboat raced in 13 countries and 38 UK Clubs. 2012 should see the Class sail numbers pass the 4000 milestone – a major achievement in the keelboat world.

The Class will have two boats on their stand at the RYA Volvo Dinghy Show. The first boat is the brand new Ovington boat, produced by Phil Evans for Chris Waples. This is the first boat produced with the new and latest Mk.X deck mould.

The second boat is a beautifully restored Classic, refurbished by Ben and Brett Dingwall, for Geoff Bayliss.

Throughout the Show, our stand will be staffed all weekend by passionate Flying Fifteen owners, who can talk with you about all aspects of sailing and owning these exciting keelboats. There will be special features on the 2012 European Championships at Lake Garda, and the forthcoming 2013 Worlds at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. You can get the latest on special price entry to some of our events for 2012.

For keen followers of Classic and Silver Category Flying Fifteens, we shall have Ivan Coryn on “Tuning Classics”.

Be sure to call at the Stand and say, “hello!!”.
