27-30 August 2010
Derwent Reservoir Sailing Club is delighted to announce details of Derwent Regatta 2010. In an effort to make Derwent Regatta more accessible, the club has moved the event away from the School Exam Period to the August Bank Holiday Weekend (27th - 30th August 2010). The Club hopes this will also make the regatta more accessible for adult sailors who may have struggled to take a week off to sail.
The club is aiming to deliver a full race program over the four day
event providing 10 races in four race series. The club intends to run 4
series across the weekend, allowing sailors to sail on just one day, or
all four. Bank Holiday Monday will include a handicap race in the
morning and pursuit race in the afternoon. All the other races will be
run with fleet start and handicap starts.
The formal Notice of Race, and Entry form can be downloaded from the club website (www.drsc.co.uk) or by contacting the Club Sailing Secretary (0191 371 1023).
The club has made a decision to keep entry fees as low as possible to
encourage as many sailors on the water, despite the current global
financial situation. We are also offering discounts for booking in
advance and booking for all four series which the club hopes will make
the weekend even more affordable.
