Come sailing as a crew on a keel boat or dinghy or just be a spectator. Enjoy our bar and dining room for lunch or tea. The members of Itchenor sailing club invite sailing enthusiasts to come and visit our club on the 16th of May.

Itchenor is a family club

Itchenor is based on Chichester harbour, an area of outstanding natural beauty and within easy reach of London, Southampton and Brighton. We offer a range of sailing, racing and training for juniors, dinghies, keel boats and cruisers, of all standards. In addition we have a great professionally run clubhouse with accommodation, swimming pool, bar and good food. Throughout the year there are a range of social activities and training courses.

Get a float

There will be the opportunity for adults and children to view the racing from a spectator boat, please come prepared with waterproofs. Life jackets will be available. If you would like the opportunity to sail in our regular Sunday morning racing please contact the Office.

Joining Itchenor is easy and there has never been a better time. Itchenor Sailing Club is seeking new members who are interested in sailing and boating.

This year we have made it easier and more affordable to join Itchenor:

  • Entrance fees have been dropped for 2010
  • The application process has been considerably simplified
  • New members join the Club immediately without the need to serve a period as provisional membership
  • Junior taster membership allows the whole family to experience Itchenor for £100
  • Subscriptions may be paid in instalments

  • Post Code for SATNAV > PO20 7AG
  • A27 Chichester ring road take the A286 > The Witterings. After 5 miles fork right at roundabout > West Wittering, then 0.5 mile take sharp turn-right > to ITCHENOR. Continue for 1.5 miles, just before The Ship Inn, turn left to Car Park (P). Note parking machine takes £1.00 coins
  • Walk back to The Ship Inn and directly opposite, there is narrow Private Lane & footpath down to Itchenor Sailing Club § Please register at the Reception desk upon arrival

You have to be very careful not to drop any split rings or shackle pins We arrived on Saturday morning, it was hot and sunny 29 degrees.
