12ft Skiff Interdominions at Auckland Sailing Club - Day 1

Press & Yabs take line honours for Australia, but the first day goes to New Zealand on team points

Dimension Polyant AUS (Nick Press & Brad Yabsley) took line honours in heat 1, leading almost from start to finish, in an 18knot South-westerly breeze. Nice Action Too (Hamish Hey & Mike Candy) got out to an early lead and led the fleet round the first top mark, before capsizing down the spinnaker run and allowing Dimension Polyant to take the lead. Later in the race, they managed to hold off another late charge from Nice Action Too to take the race win from Nice Action Too who finished 2nd, with Tim Bartlett in Frankinskiff in 3rd.

The New Zealand team won the day, 110pts to 180pts.
