Day 1 of the Neil Pryde Sailing B14 European Championships started with a promising 15kt breeze and clear blue skies.

After a short postponement the fleet launched into a building breeze (excluding the Aussies who applied excessive lard and broke their chartered boat), providing a few exciting moments on the run out to the start. After testing the water the race committee took the advice of the class chairman who decided to be a big girls blouse and send the fleet ashore.

Quote from Toby Lewis to Nick Craig (current Endeavour Champions) on being told that they wouldn't be hoisting the kite, "is it because you are married with kids now...?"

With the early trip back to the shore the fleet enjoyed the local French fleet's hospitality, looking forward to tomorrow's racing.
