As Official Technical Clothing Sponsor to Skandia Cowes Week for the eighth year in succession, Henri Lloyd looks forward to another spectacular event on the Isle of Wight in which around 950 yachts are expected to take part.
Once again Skandia Cowes Week officials and representatives and event sponsors will be wearing Henri Lloyd clothing. In addition to the many crews and teams competing who are wearing the latest kit, the high profile TEAMORIGIN AND JPMorgan Asset Management Extreme 40 teams and members of the Volvo RYA Keelboat squad are fully kitted out in Henri Lloyd.
This year Henri Lloyd is campaigning its sponsored TP52; Henri Lloyd – Cutting Edge over the course of the week in the highly competitive IRC 0 class.
Henri Lloyd – Cutting Edge, which is owned by Robert Lutener and Martin Elwood, is mainly crewed by amateur sailors and the team has already scored some great results in 2008, including finishing in third place overall in the JP Morgan Round the Island Race in June.
Joining Henri Lloyd – Cutting Edge over the course of the week will be a selection of special guests including the likes of England Rugby International Joe Worsley and aspiring young sailor Katie Miller, as well as members of the press and staff from Henri Lloyd’s Manchester-based Head Quarters.
Henri Lloyd’s Cowes Sailing Store is situated at 95-96 High Street, and is fully stocked with all Henri Lloyd’s marine and lifestyle ranges. The 2008 marine range features clothing for all types of sailing from dinghy sailing to one design to ocean racing, whilst the lifestyle collection will look after all your après sailing attire.
Skandia Cowes Week competitors will also benefit from Henri Lloyd’s 10% discount using their Skandia Cowes Week Competitor Card throughout the week and the shop is running a special promotion on Ladies Clothing on Liz Earle Ladies Day on Thursday 7th August.
