Rooster expands Sandy Point Collection with new sailcloth bags for the 2025 gifting season

by Rooster 7 Dec 2025 09:00 GMT

Rooster is proud to announce the expansion of its much-loved Sandy Point Collection for the 2025 gifting season, introducing four new sailcloth bag styles and new colour variations to the original range.

Originally launched as a limited-edition collaboration for Christmas 2023, the Sandy Point bags quickly became a customer favourite. Their combination of coastal aesthetics, practical design, and meaningful sustainability resonated far beyond the festive season. Following this success, the collection became a permanent part of the Rooster range and now, two years on, it continues to grow.

The Sandy Point Collection is produced in partnership with a small, local business based just a few miles from Rooster HQ. This collaboration brings together shared values around community, quality, and giving technical materials a new purpose. Each bag is made from repurposed sailcloth, sourced from sails that have reached the end of their working life on the water.

These sails, often destined for landfill due to the difficulty of recycling composite materials, are instead transformed into durable, functional pieces built to be used season after season.

Every bag includes a label identifying the sail it came from, offering a traceable link back to its past life.

Rory, of Sandy Point, said: "Working with Rooster has been a really natural fit for us. These sails have already spent a lifetime doing what they were built for, so giving them a second purpose feels good. Every bag still carries a bit of that history in the cloth, and that's something I love about the process, nothing goes to waste, and the story doesn't stop."

For 2025, Rooster is adding four new styles to the Sandy Point lineup:

  • A5 Sailcloth Folder - a compact, everyday organiser for travel documents, tech, and smaller essentials.
  • A4 Sailcloth Folder - a larger format ideal for paperwork, notebooks, and tablets.
  • Sailcloth Coin Purse - small, tough, and perfectly sized for cards, cash, and daily must-haves.
  • Beach Bag - a spacious, hard-wearing beach companion with rope handles, a water-resistant base, and an internal zipped pocket.

These join the original styles, which are now available in new colour variations.

The growth of the Sandy Point Collection highlights Rooster's ongoing commitment to making responsible product choices. By working with a local maker and giving retired sails a new purpose, we're showing how technical materials can be turned into durable, everyday gear without sacrificing practicality or design.
