Most RS400 sailors will know that at the Nationals, we put every boat into a Buddy Group, to help newer RS400 sailors feel welcome, as well as make it easier to ask questions and share knowledge.

When sailors arrive in Torbay, they will be given a designated boat parking space, next to their buddies. There will be a buddy quiz on Tuesday after the class AGM, with prizes to be won, as well as an overall prize for the winning buddy group at the end of the week.

As well as the Buddy Groups, we assign all sailors a fleet, this year the standard of the entry is extremely high, with almost 50% of the entrants having finished in the top 3 at a Nationals, so the Class Committee have taken the decision to assign everyone to either gold or silver. We have daily and overall prizes for gold and silver fleets, with each boat only being allowed to win one prize during the week, so there is a chance for everyone to win something. As usual, all boats will race together.
