With the imminent opening of the 2024 National Championship entry, being held by Brightlingsea Sailing Club, I'm pleased to let you all know that the Solo Class Association has agreed to draw one free entry from the first 50 competitors to sign up.

The entry will open on Saturday, February 24th, the first day of the Dinghy Show, along with our formal announcement of our title sponsors, Allen.

Entry for the draw will close at midnight on March 9th, so get your entries in quick to be in with a chance!

Speaking of the Dinghy Show, the Class Association team are looking forward to meeting Solo sailors new, old and future on the stand, and will be available to discuss all things Solo.

We have two excellent boats on our stand, the first one being Tom Gillard's multi championship winning Solo, 6021, featuring the North/Selden rig, and Allen Brothers fit out, on the purple/grey Winder Mk1 hull. A great chance to see how Tom has his boat set up.

The second boat is a recent one from the Ginger Boats team, owned from Impact Marine's Andy Tunnicliffe and sporting a SuperSpar rig. Another great boat to check out the latest fitting ideas.

Sails from makers HD, P&B and Hyde Sails will also be available to view. As always our hugely knowledgeable team will be on hand to help you with any Solo questions.

We look forward to seeing you all at Farnborough (stand I10) and don't forget your Nationals entries.
