May Bank Holiday Weekend - 4th to the 6th May 2024. Proudly Sponsored by Lakes Mortgages - Helping bring the 2000 fleet north for a 4 race series of close racing!

West Riding Sailing Club's 2024 May Bank Holiday 2000 Class Latitude Series Open is packed full of training, racing and evening entertainment, where the 2000 Class takes centre stage.

The 2000 Class Latitude Series Open at WRSC is not just an Open weekend; it's a declaration for any sailors ready to seize the helm and navigate racing courses that demand both skill and strategy, in the relentless pursuit of sailing excellence.

At the heart of the 2000 Class Open at WRSC lies a commitment to inclusivity. Sailors of varying skill levels, from seasoned racers to novices, are invited to participate. Whether you're a frequent sailor hungry for victory or a newcomer eager to make waves, the 2000 Class Open at WRSC beckons you to take up the challenge, because it's not just a contest; it's an opportunity to connect with like-minded 2000 sailors who share a passion for sailing, as well as, testing your skills on the water.

Throughout the three-day weekend, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in a training session, led by Kev O'Brien, that will showcase the capabilities of the 2000 Class and give participants coaching on how to improve their racing performance before the racing begins on day two and three of the Open.

After each day there will be evening entertainment and the opportunity to kick back and relax, and recount the day's events.

Over the weekend WRSC's Free camping amenities will ensure a comfortable stay with hot showers available in the clubhouse.

The West Riding Sailing Club camping experience isn't just about pitching a tent; it's about discovering the natural beauty of the reservoir with its stunning views of the water right outside your tent flap, or camper van door. And, with catering provided for the entire weekend, the Latitude Open is set to be a May Bank Holiday sailing experience to remember without sacrificing life's luxuries.

If however, camping is not your thing, then there is plenty of local accommodation within a stones throw of the club.

So, are you ready to accept the Bank Holiday weekend challenge? The 2000 Class Latitude Open at WRSC awaits, daring you to embrace the adventure, face the competition, and make your mark on the water. The gauntlet has been thrown - will you pick it up?
