The Musto Skiff GBR class has enjoyed a fantastic circuit of 14 events across the UK this year, with 7 in the Northern and Scottish region, and 7 in the Southern region, including the 2023 Noble Marine UK National Championship at Restronguet SC.

This season has seen 79 individual competitors so far, with an average of 17 boats per event. This is up on last year, which saw an average of 15 boats per event. The fleet has also remained strong with 10 new faces on the circuit, plus a handful of returning legends including Fynn Sterrit, Alain Sign, and the pending return of Dan Henderson.

As Autumn draws in, and with 12 events completed, it's the recently crowned UK National Champion, Bill Maughan who heads up the points table. Based on the combined weighted scores of the UK Nationals, plus 3 best event results, Maughan has a narrow lead over Dan Vincent, with Euan Hurter and Jamie Hilton also still in the title race. Special mention goes to Hilton who has attended an impressive 10 out of 12 events so far this season, driving up to Chanonry near Inverness and then down to Lymington on the South Coast on consecutive weekends. Class stalwart, Richard Smith, has also made an impressive appearance no less than 8 times this season.

With the Dalgety Bay SC event next weekend over 21st and 22nd October and then the season finale at Itchenor SC over 4th and 5th November, the GBR series champion and coveted half scale Musto Skiff model prize will come down to the wire!
